Mellott, Dec 8 - Leonard Taylor Linville, 94, resident of this community for more than 4 score years died at two o'clock Monday morning at the home of a son, John Z. Linville, south of Mellott. Infirmities of age caused his death. Mr. Linville, who was a twin was born Feb 3, 1853 in Lexington, KY the son of William and Margaret Taylor Linville. His twin brother, James Taylor Linville died 8 years ago at age 86 years. Mr. Linville was married on his 31st birthday Feb 3, 1894 to Sarah L. Bain of Wingate. Mrs. Linville died about 3 years ago. Mr. Linville, a retired farmer lived in Fountain County from the time of the family's' removal here from Kentucky until after he became of age. He farmed most of the time since then in Montgomery County near Wingate. Three sons, 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren survive. Sons who survive in addition to his son John at whose home he died are Lawrence of Hillsboro and Paul living in California. Funeral services will be conducted from the Grenard & Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday morning. Burial will be in Wingate cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home until after the service.

Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Linville and son, John of near Mellott accompanied by another son, Lawrence near Wingate have returned home from a visit with relatives in Marysville, Mo. WHile there on Feb 3 they celebrated the 55th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Linvile and the 86th birthday anniversary of Mr. Linville and his twin brother, James Linville with wom they were visiting. The Linville twins were born in Fountain County Feb 3, 1853, Leonard Linville has lived in Montgomery and Fountain County most of his life, with farming as his principal occupation. James Linville, a carpenter by trade has spent most of his life in Missouri. The twins have a brother, John Linville, a retired merchant in Hillsboro, who is 90 years of age.
